My final day of fasting and I couldn't be happier with how well the five days have gone. I'm happy to report that I slept much better last night. Upon rising I had 12 ounces of plain purified water and roughly 30 minutes later I had 12 ounces of lime water.
Then the boys and I headed out to the church for 8:00 am Stations of The Cross immediately followed by The Divine Mercy Chaplet.
When we returned home I had a warm cup of turmeric, ginger, lemon, black pepper, and ground papaya seed tea.
12 ounces of lemon lime water was next.
Followed some time later by 10 ounces of warm ginger water.
Sticking with the water, I had a 10 oz warm green tea with a squeeze of lemon.
Did a coffee enema again today.
All morning and afternoon I felt amazing on just water but began to feel like I needed some fruit juice so at 3:00 pm I began juicing.
24 ounces of pineapple beet juice.
Had another juice an hour later. The most delicious honeydew melon juice--32 ounces worth!!
This evening I'll have another 12 ounces of water.
More spring cleaning, laundry, and organizing was done today. I organized and cleaned the kitchen. Got almost everything done in there that I had hoped to accomplish but still need to tackle the pantry on another day.
Keeping this short, as I'm trying to steer clear of leisurely pleasures on this Good Friday 2016.
+JMJ+ Today I am grateful for Jesus loving me enough to suffer a most painful death--death on a cross; in order that The Gates of Heaven be opened again, giving those who believe in Him and follow His Commandments the hope that they may one day live with Him forever in Heaven.

Day 4 and my fast is going very well. This morning I was having flavored waters and teas but late afternoon I decided to begin juicing and drinking my infused water. ( I was forgetting to drink my water!!!)
We also got our deep spring cleaning done! The boys helped me deep clean the entire house. We dusted and washed everything in sight. We organized, rearranged things, and even put aside donation items and some books to sell at our homeschool groups used book sale. I'm feeling very tired tonight but I sat down after the dinner cleanup and reflected on The Last Supper on this Holy Thursday, 2016.
Jesus spoke extremely powerful words when He proclaimed, “take and eat for this is my body.” And, “take and drink for this is my blood.” Then he commanded the disciples “do this in memory of me."
It was at that moment that he gave us The Blessed Eucharist to be celebrated until the end of time.
When trying to explain the Eucharist to the Roman Emperor around 155AD, St. Justin did not mince his words: “For we do not receive these things as common bread or common drink; but as Jesus Christ our Savior being incarnate by God’s word took flesh and blood for our salvation, so also we have been taught that the food consecrated by the word of prayer which comes from him . . . is the flesh and blood of that incarnate Jesus.”
How can Jesus give us his flesh to eat???? I really like the way Dr. Italy (Marcellino D'Ambrosio) explains it in this way:
Early this morning I prepared a pitcher of cucumber, lemon, basil water and I had a 12 oz glass followed by a second 12 oz glass 30 minutes later. I was so busy with the house cleaning that I wasn't mindful of my water consumption earlier in the day.
I took a much needed rest from our cleaning and did a warm water enema immediately followed by a coffee enema. Also had some quiet time reading THE IMMITATION OF CHRIST.
Early evening I made 32 ounces of pineapple beet juice.
My final juice of the day was this delicious green juice made with cilantro, asparagus, cauliflower, lemon, and cucumber.
Reflections on today and things I noticed the past 2 days:
Last night my sleep was restless. I woke up two different times--not happy about that. I had hoped to get much needed rest last night. But when I finally woke up in the morning I had no problem jumping out of bed and starting my day. I also forgotten to mention in my last post that I've been experiencing a lot of post-nasal drip and a very slight runny nose.
+JMJ+ Today I am grateful for a day spent working and praying. Feeling very satisfied and extremely blessed--but tired!

Had a great Day 3!!!! I really needed to be mindful to get my juices in because I was focusing mainly on infused waters today and feeling kinda lazy too. Upon rising I had 12 ounces of purified water. After my morning prayers I made 16 ounces of warm water with 1/8 tsp black pepper, 1/2 tsp turmeric powder, 1/4 tsp ginger powder, 1/4 tsp of ground papaya seeds, and the juice of 1 lemon. The seeds from papaya fruit have anthelmintic and antiamoebic properties. This means they kill intestinal worms and other parasitic organisms in your digestive system. Consuming raw fruits and vegetables of course can be a source for parasites and an easy way for them to get into our digestive system.
Dried and Ground Papaya Seeds
Then I prepped a 50 ounce pitcher of cucumber, lemon, and basil infused water. I'll drink this tomorrow but today I added some of it to my green juice.
In case you don't know what I mean (teehee) it happened after my coffee enema today. Now I'm sure you get the point. I'm still doing dry skin brushing each day also to help unclog pores so more toxins can be released through my skin.
This afternoon prior to noon Mass the boys and I reflected on the daily readings and video reflection. On the way to Mass I had a 12 ounce glass of chlorophyll water.
Before taking the boys to their tennis lesson I made a 32 ounce green juice with cucumber, ginger, lemon, sunflower greens and a splash of the infused water up above.
I took a 20 ounce jar of Apple Cinnamon infused water. The same recipe as yesterdays.
As I prepared the dinner for the family I sipped on 32 ounces of grapefruit beet juice.
My personal prayer time today involved reading from The Imitation of Christ. And last night I got too sleepy reading so today I finished John's gospel Chapters 17-19.
My body movement today was walking the neighborhood with hubby and our three youngest. After our walk I juiced these beautiful veggies. They yielded 24 ounces of goodness.
+JMJ+ Today I am grateful for all of these delicious juices that I can feel nourishing my body.

Tuesday of Holy Week
Day 2 of my fast and I'm feeling fantastic!!! This morning upon rising I had 12 ounces of purified water and had my quiet prayer time. After I made the children their breakfast we had our family prayer time together as we listened to the Daily Readings and the video reflection, before going to noon Mass.
Before church I had a 10 oz mug of lemon turmeric water. To it I added some black pepper to increase the absorption of the turmeric in my body.
To make this drink I warmed some water slightly and then stirred in the juice of 1 lemon, 1 teaspoon of turmeric, and less than 1/8 teaspoon of black pepper.
Shortly after that it was time to crack open the coconut I found on last night's walk. It yielded 16 ounces of coconut water. I put the water in the fridge to chill while I did a coffee enema and dry skin brushing prior to my shower. I managed to hide away for awhile to have some time to myself. I'm reading and meditating on excerpts in the book, THE IMMITATION OF CHRIST. Today I was focusing on Chapter 9, Self-Offering and Prayer.
These words by Thomas A. Kempis are particularly powerful and meaningful to me right now in my spiritual journey and were EXACTLY what I needed to read and speak to myself before receiving my Lord's Body, Blood, Soul and Divinity in the Blessed Sacrament: "Disciple: Lord, all things in heaven and on earth are Yours. I desire to give myself to you in willing abandonment, and to remain Yours forever. Lord, in simplicity of heart, I offer myself to you this day, always to be Your obedient servant and a sacrifice of perpetual praise.
Accept me with this holy sacrifice of your precious Body, which I offer You today in the presence of Your assisting Angels, for my salvation and that of all Your people.
Lord, I offer You all my sins and offenses, committed before You and Your holy Angels, from the day I was first able to sin until now. Placing them upon the altar of reconciliation, I implore You to burn and consume them in the fire of Your love."
In the morning I also had 2 ounces of fresh wheatgrass juice.
Later in the afternoon I had a 16 ounce serving of pineapple beet juice before we headed out to the beach for some earthing, walking, and shelling.
Earlier in the day I prepared an apple and cinnamon infused water and thought this would be the perfect beverage to take along to the beach. It was a 20 ounce serving.
The three youngest went with me on a two and a half hour shelling walk. Here are some moments I captured.
No live shelling allowed of course. We only keep a few empty shells as precious reminders of God's wonderous creativity.
While I prepared the family's dinner I sipped on 10 ounces warm cinnamon stick water.
Dinner for me was 32 ounces of freshly juiced O.J. Completely full and satisfied with this juice, so that is where my juicing day ended. If I get thirsty tonight I'll be having water only.
Tonight I'm meditating on the scriptures as I read John's Gospel Chapters 10-19. As I read I'm journaling.
What I consumed today:
12 oz purified water
10 ounces warm lemon turmeric water
16 ounces of fresh Florida coconut water
2 ounces of fresh wheatgrass juice
16 ounces of pineapple beet juice
20 ounces of apple cinnamon infused water
32 ounces of fresh Florida orange juice
12 ounces of purified water
Reflections on today:
I woke up earlier than I had expected and felt extremely well rested. I never felt any true hunger today and felt alert and focused all day. Tonight I'm feeling tired from our long shelling walk out in the bright sunshine. Hoping to go to bed a bit early tonight. I'm very pleased with how my day progressed even though I didn't get to any of our deep Spring Cleaning. I focused on laundry this morning.
+JMJ+ Today I am grateful for sand and surf beneath my feet and deep breathing at the beach.
