Raw Carob Cacao Fondue

Image
Over the weekend I was looking for a sweet treat that was super quick to make and only required ingredients I had on hand. I came up with a raw carob/cacao fondue. I had just bought some beautiful blackberries, strawberries and baby bananas. They were begging to be smothered in fondue! I used my mini container for the Tribest travel size blender.  I adore this container for making tiny batches of things. It is so powerful and so easy to clean. Here are the ingredients: RAW Carob Cacao Fondue by Elizabeth @ rawlivingandlearning.blogspot.com 4 Medjool dates, pitted water for blending, add slowly and in tablespoon increments  2 teaspoons of Truly Raw Carob Powder 2 teaspoons of raw cacao powder vanilla to taste, I used 1/4 teaspoon Blend until creamy and smooth. If your dates are dry you may need to soak them first in some water to soften or they will not blend smooth. Enjoy! +JMJ+ Today I am grateful for children beggi...

Coconut Mango Dream Smoothie

Image
Today's recipe for the morning green smoothie came to me as I was putting things into the blender. I was craving the combo of fresh coconut mylk and the sweetness of mango. Since I only had raw, dried coconut in the house and no young Thai coconuts, I improvised and added half of a Haas avocado to the mix to give the mylk its creaminess. I also added 2 T of fresh, blond colored flax seeds to pump up the creaminess and nutrition for the kiddos and me. The end result was spectacular! I really suggest you give this recipe a try. Enjoy! Autumn Apple Dip

Image
Autumn for us down here in the tropics doesn't mean changing leaves, or cool, crisp days. Our days feel cool to us if it is in the low 80's or high 70's. I'm not complaining that's for sure but I do like to make recipes that remind me of Fall days growing up in Michigan. One of those is caramel apples. Unfortunately today's caramel apples are still just as unhealthy as the ones I enjoyed as a kid. So I decided to create a caramel apple type dip for the children. Let me tell you, it is better than any caramel apple I have had. And a bonus is it doesn't get all stuck in your teeth like biting into those sticky and hard caramel apples that I remember. It is very quick to make and uses simple ingredients. Autumn Apple Dip by Elizabeth @ rawlivingandlearning.blogspot.com 6-8 large Medjool dates, remove pits 1 T raw Almond Butter, salt free! 1/4 tsp Pumpkin Pie Spice 1/4 tsp Cinnamon 1-2 T filtered water if needed for processing Organic apples, co...
