Raw Living Foods Lifestyle

What is the raw living foods lifestyle that I follow?
I follow the Hippocrates Diet/Lifestyle combined with the consumption of fruits. I strive to eat at least 85 % raw each day. this allows a small portion of whole plant foods that have been gently prepared, limiting nutrient loss.
Living raw foods are the most nutritious of raw foods. Foods like germinated nuts and seeds and sprouts are still growing and bursting with vitamins, minerals, enzymes, plant hormones (phytochemicals and nutrients), and oxygen. The raw living foods lifestyle that I follow involves eating fresh, ripe, organic (when possible), fruits, vegetables, nuts, seeds, sprouts and Rejuvelac. It also incorporates nutrition from the sea in the form of sea vegetables. Green juices and fresh wheat grass juice are two of the more important elements in this diet/lifestyle. They are the nutrient powerhouses that fill me with the energy and vitality I need.
If you can cut, chop, slice, soak, and assemble simple recipes you are well on your way to vibrant health too. It makes good sense to consume raw living foods, from an economical standpoint, because you aren't contributing to the accumulation of waste by consuming processed products that require fancy, unnecessary packaging. Take care of yourself and your planet by making wise choices in regards to your diet and lifestyle. Start out slow by eating a minimum of sixty percent raw. Remember it's not about cutting out, it's about adding in more of the raw foods. The decrease of processed foods in your diet will happen automatically as you make wiser food choices. When and if you can add more than sixty percent you are doing yourself a great favor. Some of the benefits I have experienced are: increased energy, absence of migraines, no more food related hives, better skin tone, weight loss, mental clarity ("mommy brain" is gone), and a general sense of well being and gratitude. I have a more positive attitude about food preparation. It is no longer just another chore for me it is a joy. I feel good knowing I am eating the way nature and God intended. I encourage you to give it a try for 10-12 days and watch the benefits begin to surface. I'm sure you will be very pleased and amazed with the rewards. Peace and Happy Raw Eating.

Great site! I like the homey feeling of it.

Being family oriented and into raw foods you would probably enjoy reviewing soapnuts for Maggie's Pure Land.

Check it out:http://www.maggiespureland.com/sustainable.html

I really enjoy reading your blog, it has really given me some interesting insights into the raw diet. As someone who is trying to find the best raw to live as a vegan, and trying to not fall victim to the usual mistakes that raw foodists and vegans seem to make.

Thanks again for creating this blog and making it available to others.

I have written a post on my blog about my thoughts on this subject and how I am dealing with it.

I am looking for recommendations on juicers. I have always used a champion but have given it to my parents who are going raw to battle my dad's cancer. So, before I buy a new one I want to research. What do you use? I want fairly easy clean up, something that will juice greens, and one that makes the MOST nutritional juice. Thank you for your blog!

Then go to John's web-site
discountjuicers.com
he has comparison charts that are amazing!!! This will give you all of the information you would need to make a purchase.
Hope this helps. And I wish your dad healing through his new raw living foods lifestyle. I know it works and I hope he gets the healing he needs!
Peace & Raw Health,
